New and Recommended: First Week of March

Just so they won't disappear, here are the books we recommended when the blog launched early in March. Some have mini-reviews and we may discuss others in future postings.

To the extent we can, we'll try to offer up books that are "Just In" as often as daily. That will lead to pretty rapid turnover for those lists, so browse the postings for lists like these.

The Small-Mart Revolution by Michael Shuman (restoring community)
The Secret History of Lost Things by Sheridan Hay (rare books and Melville's ghost)
Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill (great buzz for debut horror)
Off Armageddon Reef by David Weber (first in a series - I loved it!)
Paper Trails by Pete Dexter (author of Paris Trout)
Thirteen Moons by Charles Frazier (back to Cold Mountain territory)
The Castle in the Forest by Norman Mailer (the man can still write!)
